Mental Health America of Vigo County can provide low-income, uninsured adults with assistance to purchase an emergency supply of psychiatric medication. Applicants must have a referral from a service provider to qualify for this program. Please contact us for more information about this program.
Individuals with a persistent, chronic mental illness are especially vulnerable to the factors that contribute to homelessness, such as chronic poverty, the rapidly changing housing market, poor health and addiction. Our Sweet Home Terre Firma program, YOUnity House and YOUnity Village provide housing to eligible applicants. Eligible applicants are those who have a documented severe and persistent mental illness and meet low income guidelines established by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. Download our housing application here, or contact us for more information.
